Week #4 Selections

After a horrible week, I look to redeem myself and get back to the stellar record I had earlier in season. I decided to switch it up this week and wait for the later lines. This way I have more information to base my decisions on. So here they are:

NFL: Saints @ Panthers -7 ... Take the Panthers at -7 LOSS

With the return of Steve Smith in the lineup, Carolina will finally have their best team out on the field this week. They should be good to win by a TD or 2 versus this New Orleans team that is playing over their heads.

NFL: Vikings @ Bills -1... Take the Bills at -1 WIN

The Vikings have been struggling all year at putting the ball in the end-zone. Don't think that this trend will change at all this week because the Bills D have been impressive thus far. Willis McGahee is finally starting to look like he did a couple seasons ago and should be good for a solid 100 yards against this Minnesota defense.

Over/Under: Take the Over 33 in the Oakland/Cleveland game WIN

These teams will be throwing the ball on all game long come Sunday. Reason being is that the Browns passing game is the only thing going for them, and, the Raiders pass D is non existent. I just think the total is set way too low for this game.

College Pick of the Week: Rutgers -3.5 @ South Florida... Take Rutgers at -3.5 LOSS

Rutgers used to be the laughing stock of DivI Football but with an undefeated record this year, they look more like contenders. The key to Rutgers leading the Big East Conference is their potent running game led by RB Raymell Rice. This should be a high scoring game and Rutgers won't have a problem covering the spread.

Prime Time Game: Take the under 34.5 in the Browns/Seahawks game LOSS

The Bears D will stop the potent Seahawks offense Sunday night. Even if Alexander does play, he will not be at 100% and this Chicago team will take full advantage of this. With the wind playing a big factor, both QB's will have trouble airing it out. Look for a hard fought defensive battle...

Unless I have a poor weekend, I will not be touching the Monday Nighter again this week. I will post my update record come Tuesday. Until then... Break your Bookie and Squish the Fish!
