Monday Night Football Tonight !!!

It looks like the weather in Seattle is lousy today. This is great news to us since it gives us a solid chance of catching the under in tonight's match-up between the Seahawks and the Packers. Even though the total has dropped dramatically in the last 2 days, I'm still taking the Under at 43.5. LOSS

After 12 weeks of intense football action, my current record stands at 36 wins, 30 losses and 1 push. That's a winning % of .545. As for my MNF record, I'm 4-1 going into tonight's game. On that note, enjoy the night and I'll be back with my Thursday night pick in a couple days. Until then... Break your Bookie and Squish the Fish!!!

Week #12 Selections

Well after a pretty solid Thanksgiving record of 4-1-1 between my NFL and College picks, my overall record is now a respectable 33-28-1 (.540). Now it's back to business and here are my picks for the weekend.

NFL: Bengals -2 WIN
NFL: Panthers -4 LOSS
Over-Under: SD OAK Over 42 LOSS
College Pick: Boise State -3 WIN
Prime Time: Colts -9 WIN

As for the Monday Nighter this week, the only possibility of me betting would be on the under. Before I make my mind here, I want to see if the rain will hold up or not. Back on Monday to give you the inside scoop. Until then... Break your Bookie and Squish the Fish!!!

COLLEGE MADNESS!! !

I just love this weekend. With all the festivities and rivalry games going on this weekend in College Football, I just have an urge to make more selections than usual. Here are some key picks for today and tomorrow:

Northern Illinois -10 @ East Michigan... Take the Huskies at -10. WIN

Well they say not to change what works. This is why I'm riding the Huskies for the 2nd week in a row. They should easily win by 2 TD's against this weak East Michigan Team.

The Civil War game: Oregon Ducks @ Oregon State Beavers -2... Take the Beavers at -2. PUSH

This is one hell of a rivalry and it will be a battle to the end. Look for the Beavers to feed off the home-field advantage and come out firing. The home team has won this game since early 2000 and I don't expect it to change this week.

Take the Over 44 in the LSU-Arkansas game. WIN

These two teams are battling for BCS Bids. This should be a highly entertaining game with a whole lotta TD's. Go Offense!

As the day/weekend progresses, I will be updating the blog with more and more good picks. Until then... Break your Bookie and Squish the Fish!!!

Thanksgiving Day Picks

The best time of the year is here!!! Tomorrow is already Turkey Day so lots is happening in the world of Football. NCAA Conference Championships are just around the corner, and we have a triple-header to entertain us on Thursday.

In honor of my "X-mas", I have made 1 selection per game tomorrow just to keep us all glued to the Boob Tube. So without further ado, I bring to you:

Game 1: Miami -3 @ Detroit... Take the Dolphins at -3 WIN
Game 2: Tampa Bay @ Dallas -9.5... Take the Cowboys at -9.5 WIN
Game 3: Denver @ KC -1.5... Take the Broncos with the 1.5 points LOSS

It amazes me how much every one of these lines moved this week. This is certainly due to the public's uncertainty of these outcomes. Having said that, I feel confident that this week will get my one step closer to the elite mark of .600. I currently sit at .518 with a record of (29-27). I'll be back on the weekend with more picks. Until then... Break Your Bookie and Squish the Fish!!!

Week #12 College Pick

Bowling Green State University at Toledo U -6... Take Toledo at -6 WIN

This week I picked in the earliest game possible. It's nice to get it out of the way especially when you find a soft line like this one. BG has not been as good as they have in the past 5 or 6 years and this game is key for Toledo as they still have a chance at a Bowl Game.

I'll be posting a couple of Thanksgiving Special picks in the next couple of days. Until then... Break Your Bookie and Squish the Fish!

RESULTS AFTER WEEK # 11

Believe it or not... I went 4-1 this week. I honestly forgot about posting them on here but I did in fact post them on my Pools4Pimps (perhaps the most expensive a participate in). Please view them for yourself by going to http://www.pools4pimps.zoomshare.com/1.html . By the way, you will notice that I am also the commissioner of that handicapping fantasy pool.

Anyhow, these were my picks and the results:

NFL: Bills +2.5 at Texans... Took my Bills with the 2 points! WIN

JP pulled off the Bills' first late 4th quarter winning drive since Flutie Magic did it in 99. As a Bills Fan and season ticket-holder at the Ralph, all I can say is (pardon my language): "It's about f ' ken time!".

NFL: Colts PK at Cowboys... Took the Colts at Pick'em. LOSS

Figures, my one loss this week happens to be the Colts who haven't loss a single game all season long. Brr....

Over/Under: Vikings-Dolphins OVER 34. WIN

34? I mean come on... This was an obvious pick in my mind. I still can't believe Big Vince took the under that game. I mean, Harrington is on sort of a roll... This WILL stop next week!

College Pick of the Week: Central Michigan -4 at Northern Illinois Huskies... Took the Huskies +4. WIN

The reason I took North Ill is because they had the crowd and because Central Mich already won the West Div of the MAC Conference. Coach even stated he was going to rest some starters to keep them fresh for the MAC Conference Championship next week at Ford Field in Detroit.

Prime Time Pick: Chargers at Broncos -2.5... Took the Chargers at +2.5 WIN

Big win for me, even bigger win for the Chargers. Another big game from LT and I should also mention that young Rivers looked Cool, Calm and Collected in the pocket against this strong Denver D.

This brings my record to .500 for the first time in over a month. This is where I stand going into week #12

Current Record (28-27) .510

Since I did not place a bet on the Monday Nighter this week, that record remains at 4-1. Now I have 6 weeks left to reach my goal. The "Drive for .600" begins. I'll be back with my picks later on in the week. With Thanksgiving and some Conference Championship games coming up, it should be an exiting week of Football. Until then... Week # 10 Selections

My 4-3 record from last week brings my winning streak to 4 consecutive weeks. I am now only 1 game below .500 with a 22-23 record. This week however should be a little trickier considering the numerous amount of injuries across the league. Having said that, I studied the NFL injury report more this week than any other week. Here are my selections:

NFL: Take Dallas at -6 WIN
NFL: Take Detroit at -6 LOSS
NFL OVER UNDER: Take Under 44 in the Rams at Seattle game since this will be a wet one. LOSS
College Pick of the Week: Take Notre Dame at -11 WIN
PRIME TIME: Take Under 39 in the Bears at NYG game. LOSS

For the 7th time this season, I think that betting against the Dolphins (-1) this week should payout nicely. I am not too sure what to take this Monday Night, as soon as I do, I will post my thoughts on here. Until then... Break your Bookie and Squish the Fish!!!

Week #9 Selections

Well, this week we have plenty of options since it looks like an easy one to handicap. My picks are listed below, and as I mentioned in my previous blog, I will no longer over-analyze things. So here they are:

NFL: Take the Bills at -3 WIN
NFL: Take the Broncos at +3 WIN
NFL: Take the Falcons at -5 LOSS
NFL: Take the Bears at -13 LOSS
College Pick of the Week: Pitt at -4 LOSS
O/U: Take the OVER 41 in the Chargers-Browns game WIN

On a side note, taking Georgia tech at -4 WIN would not be a stupid idea. Back next week for more free pickings. Until then... Break your Bookie and Squish the Fish!!!

Mid-Season Update !

After 8 weeks of hard hitting, fast paced football, why are some people still calling the NFL the No Fun League? This season has simply been very difficult to predict. Who woudla thought the Bears would be undefeated midway through the year and the SuperBowl XL champs would be last in their division?

Having said that, this may explain why my record is not up to my standard. As we head into week #9, here is how MY season is going so far:

Overall Record (18-20)
Monday Night Record (4-1)

As I look to step it up in the second half, I will have to smarten up and start trusting my instincts and quit over-analyzing games. I will be posting my week 9 picks shortly. Until then... Break your Bookie and Squish the Fish!!!
